This web site informs about research activities of two closely collaborating groups led by Profs. Constantin Simovski and Sergei Tretyakov. These groups belong to the Department of Electronics and Nanoengineering, Aalto University, Finland. Our research interests span over a wide range of topics of electromagnetic theory, such as metamaterials and metasurfaces, bi-anisotropic materials, plasmonics, electromagnetics of graphene, nonreciprocal materials, scattering and diffraction. Main application areas of interest include antennas for all frequency ranges, microwave techniques, nanophotonics, solar cells, and thermophotovoltaics.
